The proposal sought the opportunity to increase residential density in a higher-density, inner city location, by proposing two secondary dwellings located at the rear of two existing terraces within the Paddington Heritage Conservation Area. The proposed dwellings, which were approved by the City Council and designed by Hill Thalis Architects, provided a contemporary built form, complimentary in scale to the rear laneway, providing activation to this, without compromising the amenity of adjoining properties.
