Hamptons had extensive involvement, from a whole of project perspective, in relation to Waverley Greens from commencement to completion. Over a ten-year period, this commenced with obtaining a site compatibility certificate under the now repealed, Seniors Housing SEPP, Once obtained, a development application was lodged with Waverley Council and subsequently determined by the NSW Land & Environment Court, due to the restricted timeframe in which a consent was required to
be obtained. Hamptons managed all consultant and design coordination during this stage of the project.
The development consent resulted in 55 seniors living apartments, ranging in size to include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, adaptive reuse of the old heritage listed clubhouse, into a wellness centre for residents, a roof top entertaining area and community garden, a new 1,200m2 club and café, two bowling greens and two levels of basement parking.
Upon obtaining a consent, Hamptons then assisted in selecting a development partner to construct the project, which included a detailed tendering and interview process. Upon selection of the successful party, being Mirvac (NSW Residential) Pty Ltd, Hamptons was instrumental in preparing the Project Delivery Agreement and Principal Project Requirements.
Hamptons then shifted to the role of Project Superintendent for the delivery of the new club facilities and bowling greens, as well as ensuring that the overall project delivery met, or exceeded, milestones to ensure its success. . Hamptons undertook regular site inspections, coordinated the club-appointed consultant team, addressed and managed Extensions of Time and Project Variation Claims and processed payment claims.
The Club commenced trading in October 2023 and the final championship bowling green was handed over in February 2024.
