Distressed Projects

Hamptons has been retained on a number of distressed projects by PPB Advisory across NSW from the completion of villa houses in Berry, to a 44 residential flat building in The Entrance.

 

These distressed projects have typically involved initial due diligence work on their behalf, as Receivers & Managers, to advise on matters including outstanding issues for occupation certificates, illegal works and identification of defects. Hamptons will then advise on the likely cost to complete with input from a quantity surveyor and the identification possible cost savings.

 

Subsequently, should there be a decision to complete the distressed project, Hamptons have managed the tendering and the selection of a Builder, as well as undertaken the responsibilities of Project Manager to complete the development. In addition, Hamptons will also coordinate the creation of Strata Plans and the establishment of a Body Corporate.
